ABOUT
Days out, planned properly.
PlanMyDay works out what to do with your day. You say where you are, who is coming and roughly what you fancy, and it builds a real day out — somewhere to go, somewhere to eat and something for the afternoon, timed so it actually works.
Why it exists
Every “days out near me” search returns the same hundred links, none of which know that you have a three-year-old and an eleven-year-old, that it is going to rain, or that you need to be home by five. Working out an actual day from that is the hard part, and nothing was doing it.
How it picks things
Suggestions come from live sources — Google Places for venues, Ticketmaster and PredictHQ for events, OpenStreetMap, and Open-Meteo for the forecast. What comes back is then filtered and ranked against the day you described: the occasion, the ages of anyone coming, how far you will travel, the weather and the time you have.
Places are excluded when they are wrong for the group — nowhere adults-only when a child is coming, nothing unsuitable for a toddler, nothing that cannot be reached in the time available.
How it makes money
Some booking and ticket links are affiliate links, which means PlanMyDay may earn a commission if you book through one. It never costs you more, and it never changes what gets suggested: results are ranked on what suits your day, not on what pays. Affiliate links are marked where they appear.
There are no adverts, no trackers and nothing is sold on. There is no account to create.
Who runs it
PlanMyDay is built and run by Laura Angel in Teesside. It started as a way to solve a problem in her own house — three children of very different ages, and the same argument every Saturday morning.
